Carpet is stretched using specialized tools (like knee kickers) and techniques that help us to raise the carpet, pull it evenly along its surface, and place the carpet as it should rest. Before stretching, we will address any issues with the padding under the carpet and the tack strips along the edges of the surface. Once the carpet is properly stretched and held in place with the tack strips at the edges of the carpet, we can trim and remove any excess carpet created from the stretching

Yes, holes can often be repaired by taking inconspicuous sections or strands of carpet from another area and carefully creating patches to completely repair the hole. You won’t be able to tell where the hole was after a successful repair. Large holes may require another solution.

Yes, similar to repairing holes, we can take inconspicuous sections or strands of carpet from another area and create patches to completely repair carpet burns. Again, large burns may require another solution.

For most of these instances, carpet stretching may be adequate to completely repair the carpet. We’ll raise your carpet, address and lumps or problems that may be caused by damaged or poorly installed padding, and we’ll restretch the carpet to remove any deformities across the surface of the carpet. Once the carpet is reattached to the tack strips, we’ll cleanly cut away any excess carpet that may crop up due to the stretching.

Carpets often come away from trim around walls and away from transition edges, due to high traffic, damage to the tack strip, and/or poor initial installation. These problems can usually be fixed with some carpet stretching. We may also need to install a new tack strip or two. And we may need to install new transition strips, in certain cases.

In certain cases, carpet stains won’t come out, even with steam cleaning. For example, you may have a bleach spot on your carpet, or you may have spilled a type of oil that cannot be removed through a cleaning treatment. If you have a pesky stain that won’t come out, carpet repair may be an option. We can cut away small stains, and again, we may perform repairs by taking inconspicuous sections or strands of carpet from another area to create patches to completely repair the carpet.

Water-damaged carpet is often stained, and it may contain mold and mildew. Fortunately, the carpet can often be saved with a repair and cleaning. We’ll inspect your carpet to assess the best course of action. Depending on the extent of the damage, we may need to remove or replace carpet padding, and we may need to treat the subsurface that supports the padding and carpet. From there, we can clean and sanitize your carpet with steam cleaning and products designed to address water-damage. Deep cleaning should be thorough enough to remove most, if not all staining.

Take note, carpets that have been flooded with black water (or sewage water) and water-logged carpets that have been severely damaged by mold and mildew may not be eligible for repair and cleaning.
